Security was enhanced in Sanga LGA, Kaduna State, after the recent attacks by the gunmen.
It would be recalled that the unknown gunmen December 27 stormed the northern part of the country during a post-Christmas celebration allegedly slaughtering many locals. The incident occurred in Tattaura village.
A cleric who witnessed the tragedy disclosed this to journalists on the next day. According to some sources, at least 10 people were killed in the attack.
Daily Trust adds that another group of gunmen attacked a bar at Angwan Ibrahim in Karshi district December 28, killing one.
In the course of such development more soldiers were sent to the area to keep vigil and locate the gunmen.
A security source claimed however that since the troubled weekend normalcy had been restored in the area. While investigation into the cases started, no arrest has been made by the security yet.
It would be noted that Sanga has been in the center of seasonal crisis emanating from grazing land for Fulani herdsmen and the farmers. In September some gunmen reportedly killed about 50 people in the attacks on three villages.
