A Nigerian soldier, currently fighting against the Boko Haram insurgency in Borno State, via his twitter account @heirique express his outrage over poor wellbeing and arms given to Nigerian military.
The soldier wondered how Nigeria can defeat insurgents while federal Government cannot improve soldier’s welfare.
Also he spoke about the situation over the Baga in Borno State, which was attacked by Boko Haram insurgents on January,4th. The soldier said that a lot of people were abandoned and looking for shelter.
He also called out the Nigerian Defence spokesperon, Gen. Olukolade.
It should be noted that suspected Boko Haram militants recently attacked the base of the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF), in Baga, Borno State, eventually dislodging the soldiers.
The commanding officer of Nigerian army supposedly appealed President Goodluck Jonathan in a letter, where claim of corruption was said to have been the reason for the continued battle against the insurgents.
