Army Destroy Boko Haram Armoured Personal Carrier, Kill Insurgents

In the fierce encounter with Boko Haram militants at Muva Junction yesterday Nigerian military have destroyed armoured personal carrier, kill militants.
According to the statement from the Nigerian Military, the fierce encounter with terrorists caused significant casualties including loss of lives and equipment on both sides.
Troops in pursuit of terrorists had an encounter with a group of them at Muva Junction yesterday. The fierce encounter resulted in substantial casualties including loss of lives & equipment on both sides. An armoured Personnel Carrier used by the terrorists was destroyed in the fight, while General Purpose Machine Gun, Rocket Propelled Grenades, rifles,IEDs, & ammunitions as well as, bows, arrows, locally made pistols & guns captured from them have been taken into custody,“ read in a statement.
However, troops have continued their advance backed with highly synchronized air strikes against the Boko Haram militants.
Communities and locations such as Garkida, Vimtim, Kumare-Uba, Mararaba, Mubi, and others are also under regular patrols and surveillance to secure them against any resurgence of terrorist activities.
Less than 10 days after suicide Boko Haram bombers and gunmen attacked the Kano Central Mosque, were at least 150 worshippers were killed, multiple bomb explosions have again rocked the commercial city yesterday, December 10th.
The blasts occurred at Filin Fakin along Ibrahim Taiwo Way, a major intersection, leading to the popular Kartin Kwari Textile Market in Kano.
