Presidential aspirants on the platform of the All
Progressives Congress (APC) have refused to step down for General
Mohammadu Buhari (retd).
Sahara Reporters hinted that efforts by some of the party leaders to talk the aspirants into stepping down for the leading presidential aspirant, Buhari in today’s convention has failed.
It was gathered that all the presidential aspirants are now expected to contest in the primaries, which is reportedly good to go.
A sources within disclosed that despite getting earlier assurances from the candidates to step down, most of them pulled out from the agreement and stubbornly decided they will proceed to the convention ground to run against Buhari.
It is also gathered that the side meetings has resulted to a prolonged delay of the kickoff of the convention.

One of the presidential aspirants, Kano State Governor, Rabiu
Kwankwaso, who took to his twitter handle, confirmed that he is still in
the race.
Also the publisher of Leadership newspaper, Sam Nda-Isaiah, has insisted that he would run, while Prince Emeka Madumere, the campaign Director for Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State presidential campaign, revealed on phone that Okorocha will contest in today’s presidential primaries.
Meanwhile, earlier today, the Nigerian television Authority through their twitter handle reported that the publisher of Leadership newspaper, Sam Nda-Isaiah and Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State have stepped down for former head of state General, Muhammadu Buhari (retd).
However, the exclusive list of delegates at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos who are to choose the party’s presidential candidate for the 2015 general elections has been released.
