Gusau—The National Emergency Management Agency,NEMA, on Sunday distributed 26 trailer loads of relief materials to families of those killed in various attacks by gunmen in Zamfara.
The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that the materials were distributed to families of 1,622 persons killed in various attacks across the 14 local government areas of the state.
The distribution was supervised by the Minister of State for Finance, Ambassador Bashir Yuguda.
Speaking at the event in Gusau, Yuguda said the gesture was in fulfillment of the promise made by President Goodluck Jonathan six months ago, to assist the families.
