As we gear up for tonight’s live show and pace
ourselves for the first set of possible evictions we
look forward to electric performances by hip hop
act and rapper extraordinaires. This is going to be a
live show to get the game cracking.
The Big Brother Africa live show stage is no small
feat and so were the various artists that were
invited to entertain. With a reach throughout the
continent artists who perform on this stage enjoy
multi-billions worth in exposure.
Tonight Nigeria will be fittingly represented by
rappers Olamide and Phyno who had a significant
following in west Africa.
While they are independent artists in their own right,
they often won the hearts of fans and audiences for
their performances together as they both laced
lyrical in their Nigerian mother tongues.
Olamide’s latest musical offering was Street OT
which is doing well. This year he collected a knod
from the MTV Africa Music Awards as well as the
Nigerian Entertainment Awards for Best Hip Hop and
Best Rap Act.
Phyno came out with his first studio album No Guts
No Glory . His single Ghost Mode in which he
collaborated with Olamide is crowd favourite.
Olamide’s Yoruba verses and Phyno’s Igbo
expressions have received critical acclaim and are
fast positioning themselves as hip hop.
