His Holiness, Pope Francis Condemns Kano Explosions

Less than 48 hours after bomb explosions rocked the ancient Kano City in northern Nigeria on Friday, Catholic Pope Francis has condemned the deadly attacks.
Speaking on the final day of his trip to Turkey on Sunday, the Catholic Pope described the bomb attacks as an “extremely serious sin against God”.

According to reports, at least 120 people were killed and 270 others wounded when two suicide bombers blew themselves up and gunmen opened fire during weekly prayers on Friday at the Grand Mosque in Kano.
The comment from the Pope is coming after he was took part in a Muslim prayer with the Grand Mufti of Istanbul on his second leg of his three day visit to Turkey.

Pope Francis was photographed alongside the Grand Mufti as he clasped his hands for a two minute silent prayer in the 17th-century Sultan Ahmet mosque, aiming to show respect for Islam and encourage stronger ties between the two faiths.
