1 Dead As Terrorists Attack Soldiers In Borno

Boko Haram militants are said to have attacked officers of the Nigerian Army in Borno State leaving one person dead
Boko Haram attack on Nigerian troops along the Maiduguri-Biu Road in Borno State has reportedly left one soldier dead.
The terrorists are said to have ambushed the soldiers on Tuesday, October 21 supposedly in revenge for the killing of 25 of their members in the Damboa area of the state on Sunday, October 19.
The victim is said to have lost his life after the members of the sect opened fire on the oblivious soldiers.
A source is said to have confirmed the attack to Premium Times saying:
 “Our troops were on their way to Damboa this morning when the insurgents ambushed them. We lost one soldier.”
The Nigerian military announced that it had reached a ceasefire deal with the terrorists but attacks and counter attacks between both sides have continued despite the agreement.
