The Nigerian Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has dismissed reports that some towns is Nigeria’s north-east states has been taken over by terrorist group, Boko Haram.
The DHQ made the disclosure through it’s spokesperson, Major General Chris Olukolade. Olukolade in a series of tweets a while ago, said the Military is engaging the terrorists in Baga and killing them too. He however admitted that some Nigerian soldiers have however lost their lives in the raging battle.
Olukolade also dismissed a media report on Chadian newspaper Al-Widha that the Chadian Government refused to cooperate with the Nigerian Military because they are are allegedly corrupt.
He wrote: “It is merely another remark to trumpet the campaign of local and foreign sympathizers or collaborators of terrorists operating in Nigeria
“None of those meaningless allegations of corruption has ever been proved. They are just diversionary and a tool for detractors
“Another irresponsible alibi coming from the foreign and local pro-terrorist party. It means NOTHING to us here”
