A special N100 banknote designed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to commemorate Nigeria’s centenary celebration will be unveiled by President Goodluck Jonathan tomorrow, November 5, 2014.
The special N100 note is part of nation’s apex bank’s contribution to
celebrate Nigeria’s 100 years of existence, which is in line with its
mandate of issuing legal tender currency in the country.
The new note which has the inscription of the theme of the centenary
celebration: “One Nigeria, Great Promise” as a micro-text, features
Nigerian traditional dancers at the back, while the portrait of the late
Chief Obafemi Awolowo on the front.
