While many men have fallen in love with supermodel Chrissy Teigen at first sight, her own husband John Legend says that was not the case for him.
Upon meeting seven years ago, the 35-year-old "All of Me" singer tells Los Angeles Confidential magazine that their first encounter wasn't the moment he fell for Teigen, 28. "I'm more cautious than that," he says. "I wasn't like, 'This is the woman I’m going to marry' from day one. For me I'm the kind of person who needs to grow into that feeling. It was probably a couple of years in when I could already see us being together forever."
The couple met on the set of Legend's 2007 music video "Stereo," and bySept. 2013, they were married.
The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model must've felt that Legend wasn't completely smitten at first because she told Cosmopolitan magazine this past June that she kept the R&B singer guessing about their relationship.
"I’m not going to lie. We hooked up. [And then when he went on tour] I left him by himself for a while," she admitted to the women's magazine. "The worst thing you can do is try to lock someone like that down early on, then have them think, There's so much more out there. I played it cool for a long time. Never once did I ask, ‘What are we?’ Marriage was never my goal, because I've never been very traditional. I was just happy to be with him."
Teigen's plan seemed to work. Legend's song "All of Me," was written about his wife and she stars (naked) in the video.
In addition to spilling about how she landed her man, Teigen also revealed toCosmo the craziest place she and Legend ever had sex.
